Art Clay Silver and Glass Fusion with Amanda Mires

This is a one-day course exploring the techniques used to make your own glass cabochons and incorporate them into Art Clay Silver jewellery. We will discuss different types of glass and compatibility and use Bullseye iridised and dichroic glass to create unique glass cabochons, which we will fashion into innovative settings with clay, syringe and silver wire, (bring your own pre-fired cabochons if you wish).

The technical issues of shrinkage, silver and glass reactions, kiln preparation and firing schedules will also be covered. During the day you will make at least two finished silver and glass creations and have the opportunity to make numerous glass cabochons.The fee includes 25g of Art Clay Silver, glass and use of all tools and equipment. A light lunch and refreshments are provided.

Please arrive by 9.00am, the course finishes at approximately 5.00pm.
