AC Copper Clay. 50g

Art Clay Copper is a clay material that can be utilized to make a wide range of pieces such as jewellery, craft designs, and objects like sculptures and models.
It can be fired in an electric kiln without using carbon, with the resulting fired piece being more than 99.5% pure Copper.
(The percentage of copper in Art Clay Copper still in the clay state is 90%.)

Instructions: Place the dry and finished piece in a preheated kiln at 970 deg.C and fire for 30 minutes. After firing, remove the piece from the hot kiln with long tweezers and plunge it immediately into a metal container of cold water.  This will help to remove some of the oxidization which appears during firing.  The remainder can be removed with a commercial pickling solution (alternatively you could use a mixture of salt and vinegar).
