Traditional Glass Paints
These paints, produced by the 'Laboratoire de Recherche des Monuments Historiques', are comparable to those used in the middle ages. Used properly, these paints will reproduce the aesthetic qualities of the old works, and be equally long lasting.
All colours are in powder form, without solvent.
The same flux is used for all colours (lead silicate).

Black Stain
Composition: 5SiO24PbO plus Metal oxide
Note: All the colours are intermixable.
Application: Distilled water and gum arabic (or similar)
For use with vinegar, it is necessary to pre-test.
Firing: min. 620°C - 750°C, Hold for 1 hour.
Depending on the firing temperature, the effect can be from dull to shiny, transparent or dense.
