981.040 Buttercut Sandblast Resist - 62 x 100cm

Buttercut is the resist of choice for sandblasting. It is a highly durable, thick, green rubber sandblasting stencil that has superior adhesion to glass when compared to other resists and has a number of benefits. Only Buttercut resist stands up to the stresses of deep glass carving. With Buttercut it's also easier to see the layout with more colour contrast and depth while being easy to quickly remove once the project is complete.

This resist has also been used to great effect in Nathan Sandberg's kiln carving masterclass held at Creative Glass UK earlier in 2009, where the thickness of the resist allowed deep, handcut patterns to be impressed into a plaster and sand mixture which maintained its form during a high temperature firing giving the glass a deep structured effect.
