We offer a full professional Glastar system for all your sandblasting needs. The set-up comprises a cabin, dust collector, compressor and pressure blaster with footswitch. Bench space is also available if you so require.

Hiring of the system is undertaken at the hirer’s risk, with the understanding that CGUK will not be held responsible for the finished result - you will sign an agreement to this effect before using the equipment. Hirers commit to their projects at their own risk and must be compliant with all relevant Health & Safety precautions. Hirers will also be responsible for the clean-up of the sandblaster and surrounding area before leaving the premises.

Hirers must provide their own tools and equipment. No use of any other CGUK equipment permitted without prior agreement. All bookings are subject to availability, must be pre-booked and paid in advance. All prices are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.

Please note: minimum hire charge of £18 applies.

Kiln Hire

We offer a range of Paragon and BVD kilns on hire for fusing, slumping and casting, plus bench space if you wish to assemble your project on-the-spot before loading. Hire for kiln casting projects quoted individually according to the firing programme - see below for details.

If you are unsure, we can advise you on your firing programme, on the understanding that CGUK will not be held responsible for the finished result - you will sign an agreement to this effect. Hirers commit to their projects at their own risk and are expected to observe all relevant Health & Safety precautions. Hirers will be responsible for 'clean-up' of the bench area and kiln before leaving the premises.

Hirers will also be responsible for loading and unloading the kiln. Work is to collected at the time agreed with CGUK following firing. If you are unable to collect at the agreed time CGUK reserve the right to charge a further fee relevant to length of the delay. Slumping firings are on the basis that hirers provide their own ceramic moulds. Hirers are to provide their own tools and equipment.

Glass Grinder Hire

We offer a full professional system for all your glass grinding and polishing needs. The set-up comprises a Glastar B12 variable-speed, flatbed disc grinder complete with 60, 140 and 325 grit diamond discs, plus pre-polish and final polish discs. Bench space is also available if you so require.
