SR3000 is a repositionable, self-stick film that develops a slight tack after wash-out to help it adhere to a variety of materials such as glass, wood, stone, ceramic, granite, marble and soft metals. It has industry-leading durability and resolution capabilities - you can trust it with half-tone images or ultra-high-resolution images, for deep etches or fine details, and on flat or curved surfaces. SR3000™ will help turn any black and white design into a sand-carving stencil.
In addition to the SR3000 you will require a UV light course such as the Letralite unit, a transparency film print and a washout unit. A plastic burnisher will help to bind the processed photomask to the substrate surface and remove the photomask’s clear carrier and a wire wheel brush is also ideal to release air trapped between the substrate and the photomask.
You do not need a darkroom or yellow lighting to use SR3000 (although this would afford the best handling capabilities) as the film can be safely handled in white fluorescent lighting for approximately ten minutes. Avoid sunlight or any room or area that has direct or indirect UV light such as open windows or doors.
SR3000™ comes in 3,4 & 5 mil thicknesses.
3 mil is recommended for fine detailed artwork and halftoned photos.
4 mil is recommended for moderate detailed artwork and a moderate depth etch.
5 mil is recommended for bold artwork, moderate to deep stage carving.
SR3000 has a shelf life of approx 14 months at room temperature, has a washout time from as little as 60 seconds and an exposure time of around 20 seconds with the Letralite lamp (time will vary with different lamps).
