Porcelain Illusions - Enamelling on Art Clay Silver with Joy Funnell
11-12 February 2016 (Thursday/Friday)
Creative Glass is once again pleased to welcome Senior Art Clay Instructor, Craftsman of the Guild of Enamellers and International Teacher, Joy Funnell, to our workshops in Rochester, Kent for a brand new Masterclass, never before taught in the UK!
On this 2-day workshop you will create your very own precious little silver flask pendant with a decorative panel on each side. You will learn how to create a porcelain effect using enamel and add wire as an edge to the panels using Joy's unique Enamelled Accents technique.
The little bottle can hold liquid! So you will also make a stopper and a stand for it to sit on when not being worn. The stand can be separate or incorporated into your flask design.
Project: Art Clay Silver bottle with stopper and stand, including inset enamelled panels with wire surround.
If you would like to add a complimenting hand-made chain, why not also sign up for Joy’s 1-day Chain Sampler Workshop which follows on directly from this class. As a special bonus, those signing up for both Joy’s classes will receive 20g of Art Clay Silver.
Use of tools and equipment, 50g Art Clay Silver, fine silver round wire, Art Clay silver paste/syringe and a variety of enamels are included in the class fee. A light lunch and refreshments will also be provided.
Skill Level: Previous metal clay experience required (not suitable for beginners)
As an extra bonus, those signing up for this and Joy's Chain Sampler workshop on 13 February will receive a 20g pack of Art Clay Silver free!
