TASTER CLASS: Screen-printed Light-catchers with Amanda Mires

11th July 2025 - 10am-12.30pm - (Friday)

Our TASTER classes are designed for people, who wish to create something beautiful in glass or Art Clay whilst also getting an insight into these extraordinary materials and their multiple forms of expression.

The Taster classes will run for approximately 2.5 hours, depending on the project and are suitable for those aged over 18 years.  Whether you already have some experience or are a complete novice, you will be encouraged to channel your inner creativity to produce something unique.

The work will be fired after class and can be picked up within a few days, or can be posted out upon request.

Class Description: The imagery on these light-catchers is made by screen printing directly onto the glass with special high-firing paints. Following a demonstration of the process, you will be able to choose from a variety of pre-made motifs and immerse yourself in the fun of printing on glass to create your very own lightcatcher. You will also have the opportunity to drill holes in your glass pieces ready for hanging.

Project: 4-6 light-catchers

Skill Level: No prior experience necessary.

The fee includes all materials as well as beverages.
