Fused Glass (mixed ability) with Amanda Mires
4th June to 9th July 2025
1-3pm 6 weekly sessions every Wednesday
Location: CGUK Glass Studio - Rochester, Kent
Attendees will be taken step-by-step through the fusing process to give an overview of each stage from initial design, selecting and cutting suitable glass, project assembly, the kiln-fusing process and slumping into a form. As each student progresses, they will gain the knowledge to complete projects of their own choosing with guidance and technical support from our experienced tutor.
Please note, there will be additional costs incurred by students during the course to cover basic tools (see below) and materials which are dependent on the project(s) you choose to undertake; this can be discussed with your tutor during class. Kiln-firing costs for 1 small project each week are included in the class fee. There may be a charge for large projects, or those requiring a specific firing schedule.
Projects
· 15cm-square fused panel/platter
· further project(s) of the students choosing after tutor discussion/guidance
Skill Level
This class is mixed ability, suitable for the complete beginner as well as those wishing to continue their fused-glass journey.
